SEREXPO 2026 – Bulgaria was the Honoured Country at the international exhibition in Serres

From 16 to 20 September 2026, the international exhibition SEREXPO 2026 took place in Serres, Greece, with Bulgaria as the Honoured Country.
Bulgaria’s participation was implemented within a broad framework of institutional and business cooperation between Bulgarian and Greek chambers, organisations, municipalities and businesses.
The exhibition was organised by the Chamber of Serres and the Municipality of Serres, while the Bulgarian participation was co-organised by the Bulgarian-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BHCCI) and the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI).
Bulgarian-Greek cooperation in action
SEREXPO 2026 provided an important platform for bringing together representatives of institutions, municipalities, business organisations and companies from Bulgaria and Greece.
The Bulgarian-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BHCCI) played an active role in preparing and implementing the Bulgarian participation, connecting Bulgarian companies with Greek business and institutional partners and creating opportunities for Bulgarian businesses to present their products, services and activities to the Greek market.
Bulgarian companies from different economic sectors were given the opportunity to:
• use the Bulgarian pavilion free of charge
• present promotional and information materials
• participate personally or through their representatives
• establish direct contacts with businesses and visitors
BHCCI also provided language and communication support in Bulgarian, Greek and English, facilitating communication between participants.
Connecting municipalities and local business communities
One of the important outcomes of SEREXPO 2026 was the creation of new links between local authorities and business communities.
The event provided an opportunity to connect representatives of the Municipality of Serres, Municipality of Sliven, Municipality of Petrich and Municipality of Blagoevgrad, creating a basis for exchange of ideas and future cooperation.
The participation of municipalities highlighted the important role of local government as a natural partner of business and as a driver of cross-border economic and investment cooperation.
Business networking between Bulgaria and Greece
SEREXPO 2026 created opportunities for business networking and communication between Bulgarian and Greek companies.
Particular importance was also attached to the contacts established with representatives of the Port of Thessaloniki, who visited the Bulgarian pavilion at the invitation of BHCCI and held meetings with Bulgarian companies and representatives of Sliven Industrial Park.
The Bulgarian participation included companies from a range of sectors, including:
• Energy
• Real estate
• Insurance
• Food and beverages
• Wellness products
• Consulting services
• Office solutions and other fields

Participation in SEREXPO 2026 once again demonstrated the role of the Bulgarian-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Industry as a platform connecting businesses, institutions and local communities in Bulgaria and Greece.
Our objective is to create real opportunities for communication, dialogue and partnership, facilitate access to new markets and support Bulgarian and Greek companies in building sustainable and long-term business relationships.
SEREXPO 2026 demonstrated that when institutions, municipalities, business organisations and companies work together, the result is not simply an event, but lasting relationships and new opportunities for development.
