Green Transition Forum 5.0

The Green Transition Forum 5.0, which the Bulgarian-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Industry co-organized this year, was extremely successful. The forum lasted five days, from 16 to 20 June, with over 5500 participants, 350 speakers from 32 countries and 40 panels. Three European Commissioners took part: Roxana Minzatu – Executive Vice-President of the European Commission and Commissioner for Social Rights and Skills, Quality Jobs and Training, Teresa Ribera – Executive Vice-President of the European Commission for a Clean, Just and Competitive Transition and Ekaterina Zaharieva – European Commissioner for Startups, Research and Innovation, the President of the National Assembly of Bulgaria – Natalia Kiselova, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria Rossen Jeliazkov, many Bulgarian ministers, Enrico Letta – former Prime Minister of Italy, Prof. Daron Acemoglu, winner of the Nobel Prize in Economics for 2024, Mr. Georgios Kremlis, Honorary Director of the European Commission and Ambassador of the European Public Law Organization in Bulgaria, representatives of various institutions, organizations and business. On the Greek side, Mr. Stavros Papastavrou, Minister of Environment and Energy, and Mr. Konstantinos Gkioulekas, Deputy Minister of the Interior in charge of the regions of Macedonia and Thrace, were present. A special video address for the forum was recorded by Mr. Panagiotis Theodorikakos, Minister of Development of Greece. Representatives of the administration and various organizations from Greece also took part.
