Antika World

We would like to present the opportunities for Greek and Bulgarian businesses provided by our partners at Antika World. As announced in the fall of 2024 by Mr. Ahmed Nasr, founder and director of Antika World, the company is undertaking the renovation and revival of the emblematic Central Universal Store—TSUM, as it is commonly known.
Originally opened in 1957, TSUM was part of a grand architectural project that helped shape the heart of Sofia. It quickly became synonymous with modernity and innovation, famously introducing Bulgaria’s first escalator—a symbol of pride for Sofia’s citizens.
Over the years, TSUM has established itself as a place offering a variety of, and above all, luxury goods. Today, Antika World’s ambition is to revive and renovate this important landmark for both the capital and Bulgaria while preserving its historic appearance.
Mr. Nasr’s vision is centred on providing an opportunity for high-quality brands and manufacturers from Bulgaria and other countries to present their products in the commercial section of the renovated Central Universal Store. With thoughtfully curated spaces for fashion, cosmetics, premium lifestyle items, home, and travel accessories, the three shopping floors offer selected brands local customer reach as well as strong exposure to tourists and business travellers.
Alongside the opportunity for Bulgaria to present its finest traditional and modern products—from handcrafted goods and rose oil specialties to local designers’ pieces—Antika World is also dedicating a special corner to renowned Greek brands.
The entire Antika World project includes modern dining areas, numerous boutiques, office and conference facilities, a luxury hotel, interactive spaces for children, museum halls, and souvenir shops.
TSUM’s business space situated on the last two floors is key, offering a unique central location for entrepreneurs to develop their projects, find collaborators, and host meetings and professional events.
We eagerly await the completion of this transformation and look forward to the new experiences TSUM will bring to Sofia’s city centre.
