EPLO Hosts Pioneering Event with Circular Economy and Climate Institute
We were very proud as EPLO European Public Law Organization to host this event and have the Circular economy and Climate Institute –Garyfallia (Fay) Selimi– organising it in cooperation with More Women in Power – Bulgaria – and Women Act – Greece. Many thanks to their respective Presidents Evelina Tsileva and May Zanni.
This event had a triple dimension:
1) foremost celebrate Europe Day and stress its importance for our countries and the European citizens!
2) highlight the role of Women as drivers of European Union integration and as Circular economy leaders!
3) promote furher the relations between Greece and Bulgaria through the cooperation of their civil society, in particular two prominent Women NGOs, and the role EPLO is playing to boost cooperation, capacity building and networking between the two closest EU neighbours.
The idea has started thanks to a very successful event organised by President Tsileva and More Women in Power in Sofia on 10 March, in cooperation with the European Commission Representation and its Director Jordanka Chobanova, on the occasion of Women’s Day, where I had the pleasure to represent the EPLO and deliver a speech.
In the Europe Day event prominent speakers from Bulgaria, Cyprus and Greece have participated. They have shared their personal experiences and career paths and highlighted how important the role of Women is in European and national and local politics, in the business sector, in the academia and in the civil society. The leading by example approach was more than obvious.

The event was a “triple win” one, and has lead to amazing findings and recommendations.
